Help Avoid a Rigged Election

†rump’s July 17 primetime speech was a lazy, evidence-free attempt to revive the Red Scare and manufacture doubt about American elections. The actions his Regime is taking to actually undermine the November 3 midterms are a different matter entirely. The only answer to all of them is the same: vote.
We want to address what happened on July 17 directly, because the Regime and its allies in the media have spent the week treating it as a legitimate national security address, and it was not. †rump stood in front of cameras flanked by his CIA director, his ƒBI director, his acting DNI, and his DH$ Secretary and accused China of meddling in American elections, presenting declassified documents that, on examination, proved the opposite. The Venezuela materials concerned Venezuelan elections, not American ones. The China documents raised questions about data acquisition but did not establish that China directly interfered with a single American election result. Ari Berman, the national voting rights correspondent for Mother Jones, said it plainly on Democracy Now: “If †rump was trying to build a smoking gun case that the 2020 election was stolen, he failed miserably.” Just Security’s independent analysis of the released documents reached the same conclusion. The speech was a piss-poor attempt to scare the American public with a recycled Red Scare, and it failed on its own evidentiary terms.
The speech was merely theater. What this Regime has been doing to the actual mechanics of the November 3 election is not. The campaign is confirmed by congressional investigators, federal judges, election law experts, and the Regime’s own public statements. It is a strategy, and it has been described as such by the people running it. Protect Democracy’s July 2026 report named it explicitly: deceive voters about the trustworthiness of election systems, disrupt the smooth operation of those systems, and use the resulting chaos to justify further intervention.
Ending the Election Assistance Commission
The Election Assistance Commission is the federal agency that certifies voting technology, manages the national voter registration form, and distributes federal grants to state election administrators. It is helmed by four Senate-confirmed commissioners, two from each party, specifically to prevent any administration from using it as a political instrument. Within days of the Supreme Court granting †rump broad authority to fire members of independent boards previously considered separate from the executive branch, †rump fired the remaining two Democratic commissioners and allowed a Republican member to resign, leaving the agency effectively under executive control four months before the midterm elections. The EAC now manages voting technology certification, voter registration forms, and election grant distribution without the bipartisan structure Congress specifically designed to prevent political interference.
Demanding Voter Data from 19 States
The Depårtment of Jus†ice has formally demanded voter rolls and election materials from approximately 19 states, particularly battleground states, under the stated justification of identifying non-citizen voters. The documented rate of non-citizen voting in American federal elections is negligible. Michigan, one of the states targeted, recorded 16 instances of non-citizen voting in 2024, representing 0.00028 percent of total votes cast. The demand is not about finding fraud. It is about obtaining the voter data infrastructure of states the Regime needs to contest, challenge, or suppress results in November. Democratic attorneys general in multiple states have refused to comply and are litigating the demands in federal court.
The U.S. Postal Service has simultaneously pushed a proposed rule that would allow it to refuse delivery of mail-in ballots in states that have not turned over their voter rosters to the federal government. FEMA has threatened to withhold terrorism grant funding from states it determines are not adequately protecting election integrity, which is a coercion mechanism with no basis in federal law or the Constitution’s Elections Clause, which grants authority over elections to the states and Congress, not the executive branch. The †rump Regime has also confirmed plans to send federal election monitors to Democratic stronghold states and has discussed deploying IÇE agents near polling locations on Election Day.
The Fulton County Raid
On January 28, 2026, the ƒBI raided the Fulton County Election Hub in Union City, Georgia, arriving with an incorrect warrant and seizing more than 600 boxes of ballots, ballot images, and voter rolls from a county that voted heavily Democratic in 2020 and 2024. Former DNI Tulsi Gabbard appeared at the raid, an extraordinary and documented intervention by the nation’s top intelligence official in a local election records facility. Sen. Raphael Warnock called it the creation of pretext to interfere with the 2026 midterms. The raid has produced no confirmed prosecutorial outcome. The ballots are gone, and the voter rolls are in federal custody. The county that delivered Georgia’s electoral votes to the Democratic column in two consecutive presidential elections has had its election infrastructure seized by federal agents operating on a warrant that was initially incorrect.
Gerrymandering Missouri
The national pattern has a direct Missouri expression that affects all of us. In September 2025, Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe called a special session and signed into law a gerrymandered congressional map specifically designed to dismantle Missouri’s 5th Congressional District, the state’s only reliably Democratic congressional seat. The new map has faced lawsuits and a citizen-led ballot initiative that, if certified and approved by voters, would overturn it. The Regime’s allies in Jefferson City did at the state level what they are doing at the federal level: redraw the rules before the election to guarantee the outcome they want.
The Emergency Powers Option
In March 2026, reporting confirmed that the Regime had contemplated issuing an executive order declaring a national emergency due to alleged foreign election interference, a move that would have granted the executive branch sweeping control over the administration of the 2026 midterm elections. The Regime considered this plan seriously enough that it was reported by multiple credentialed outlets and drew immediate condemnation from election law experts who noted that the president has no authority under the Elections Clause of Article I, Section 4 of the Constitution to cancel, postpone, or seize control of a federal election. The plan was not implemented, yet it was considered. The fact that it was considered at all is the documented record of what this Regime believes it has the authority to do, and the July 17 speech was designed to generate headlines. The actions this Regime has been taking since January are designed to generate their stolen results.

The Visible Strategy
†rump has openly refused to commit to accepting the 2026 election results. He has called for nationalizing elections despite having no constitutional authority to do so. His Regime has designated legitimate left-wing political organizations as domestic terrorist threats in ways that Democratic lawmakers have formally objected to in writing, stating that the designations are designed to suppress political opposition ahead of the midterms. The Campaign Legal Center has documented a clear three-part pattern: undermining the rule of law, destabilizing election administration, and weakening institutional election protections. Protect Democracy calls it deceive, disrupt, deny. Sen. Warner calls it a coordinated effort and a Nixonian operation. The Regime calls it election ‘integrity.’
The answer is the same. Vote. Vote in the August 4 primary. Vote on November 3. Vote in every local and state race on your ballot, because the Regime that is trying to rig the federal elections is being aided by state legislators and governors who are redrawing maps, suppressing registration, and doing everything within their power to make your vote count less. The people who want you demoralized, disengaged, and convinced that it does not matter are the same people who are working this hard to stop you from voting.
