We really appreciate your coverage of the redistricting saga. One note, the "citizen led ballot initiative" is actually a citizen led referendum. The process is generally the same but the difference is 1) the referendum does not result in an amendment to the state constitution and 2) it places the legislative act itself, in this case the map enacted in HB1, on the ballot for voters to decide directly. Because it's a referendum not an initiative petition, voters overturn the gerrymandered map by REJECTING it not approving it. A "NO" vote rejects the new gerrymandered map.
This vital information needs to be shared with every Missourian! It may be our only chance at successfully ensuring a fair election.
